Resolve conflicting promises across country landing pages
Audit regional service claims, delivery terms and offers before local campaign pages create sales disputes.

Find the commercial contradiction
Country landing pages often drift when separate teams update pricing, turnaround language or service inclusions. A buyer may discover one promise through search and receive a different explanation during a sales call. This is a commercial consistency problem before it is an international SEO problem.
Select one service sold across several markets. Collect its country pages, advertisements, downloadable materials and proposal templates. Compare the actual deliverable, exclusions, eligibility and timing. A change in currency or spelling should not accidentally change what the business is committing to provide.
Separate genuine local differences from copy drift
Ask the service owner which differences are intentional and supportable. Local payment arrangements or delivery coverage may justify distinct wording. Unsupported claims of a local office, guaranteed appointment supply or immediate availability should not survive simply because they appear on an established regional page.
Google recommends distinct URLs for language versions and provides methods for identifying regional alternatives. Those mechanisms help discovery; they do not reconcile conflicting offers. Hreflang cannot make an inaccurate service promise commercially safe.
Create a promise comparison worksheet
Use one row per claim and one column per market. Quote the exact wording rather than paraphrasing it. Add the approved position, evidence owner and affected assets. This makes it possible to distinguish a factual correction from a stylistic preference.
For UK-facing business advertising, government guidance emphasises accurate and honest marketing. Review other markets' requirements separately rather than assuming one country's rules apply everywhere. Escalate contract-sensitive changes before editing language already used in open proposals.
- Deliverable and exclusions agree with operational capability.
- Timing distinguishes estimates from contractual commitments.
- Location and coverage claims have supporting evidence.
- Advertisements, page copy and proposal terms tell the same story.
Publish an approved regional claim set
Maintain shared core wording with documented local variations. Give each variation an owner and a review trigger, such as a delivery-model change. Update internal sales notes alongside public pages so representatives do not keep repeating the superseded promise.
Revisit the original search and advertisement journeys after publication. Confirm that the correct regional page remains reachable and its offer matches the next step. Track buyer objections involving contradictory claims as a maintenance signal, not merely as objections for salespeople to overcome.
