Planning sponsor content without borrowing cricket’s credibility
Build a cricket sponsorship content calendar around useful business information, verified delivery and properly approved assets.

Give each content item a purpose
A cricket sponsorship content plan should do more than repeat a logo announcement. Decide whether each item explains the partnership, supports an event, documents delivery or answers a buyer’s question. Connecting content to a specific purpose reduces pressure to manufacture excitement when there is little substantive information to share.
An illustrative four-part sequence could include a plain-language partnership explanation, a project planning interview, an event information page and a delivery review. These are suggested formats, not descriptions of Muntery Strategic campaigns. Publish only when the underlying activity, claims and permissions have been confirmed.
Build an approval record for every asset
Record who owns photographs, video, quotations, logos and any match material. Specify permitted channels, duration and whether paid promotion is allowed. Approval to publish a club announcement does not necessarily cover a sponsor’s advertising campaign, and a participant’s willingness to be interviewed does not settle every reuse question.
The ICC’s 2023 event-specific protection guidance illustrates the separate treatment of names, marks and footage. Use it as context, not as a current licence. Where children appear, apply the relevant safeguarding procedures and current photography guidance; commercial scheduling should not override participant welfare or the club’s approval process.
Make commercial content recognisable
Sponsored material can resemble editorial content, especially when published as an interview or community story. ASA guidance explains that marketing communications must be obviously identifiable and discusses the significance of payment and editorial control. Assess the actual arrangement rather than assuming that a friendly tone makes disclosure unnecessary.
Agree responsibility for labels before publication and review how the content appears on mobile, in previews and when shared. Do not rely on a hidden footer to explain a commercial relationship. Claims about community outcomes, business results or official status should have evidence proportionate to what readers are likely to understand.
Measure usefulness and maintain the archive
Choose measures that match the content’s role: completed event registrations, relevant enquiries, requested resources or sales-team use. Social engagement may provide context, but it does not establish a commercial return. Keep performance claims separate from delivery facts and explain where attribution is uncertain.
Add review dates to partnership pages and remove expired designations or assets when required. Preserve an internal record of approved versions and supporting evidence. Muntery Strategic can use a content inventory to maintain accuracy over time, rather than allowing old announcements to imply a continuing relationship after an agreement has ended.
